Funny Anti-Smoking Campaign Videos

by enad on September 24, 2009

smoking kills“Smokers never grow old.”

That was the first line of the anti-smoking campaign I got to read on my to the mall, back in high school.  It made me wonder how. Then I continued reading. “They die young.” [may kasunod pa po...]

7 Fantastic Natural Phenomena

by enad on September 24, 2009

Mother nature has its own way to amaze human beings. Her ways are something that, although science is trying to explain, cannot be complete explained. The theories made by scientist about the wonders she does are sometimes not even enough. How ironical!  People try to comprehend certain natural phenomena–how they exist, where they come from–but there’s something we forget to ask: “Why do they exist?”

Amaze? I don’t think this is the proper term to use here; “remind” is perhaps the better one. She does wonders to remind us of how abusive we are, of how important she is. At least, she does it through those. We don’t want an earthquake, do we?

Wanna see some of her least to spot wonders? They’re just down there. [may kasunod pa po...]

A Fishy Life

by enad on September 23, 2009

Yesterday, I wrote a post about what people don’t know aobut the job of a call center agent, my job. Working at a call center is stressful, no doubt about that. I had to be awake when biologically I should be on my slumber. In return, I receive high salary, monthly monetary benefits, quarterly bonus and before I forget, daily dose of outlook spams–this is something that makes me smile despite the irate caller on the other line buzzing my ear. We call those emails as spams even if they so aren’t. That’s just our term.

I’d like to share a spam about fish. Yes, I’m referring to those aquatic creatures that can either reside in an aquarium–or in your stomach. What I have here is not the usual fish you see in the market or the type that you will want be a pet. These are the kinds that fishermen would brag about–or never really would. They don’t exist just anywhere. That’s why they’re one of a kind.

Look what I’ve got down there… [may kasunod pa po...]

when “creativity” meets “boredom” at KFC

by enad on September 23, 2009

We have what we call “creativity.” And we also have the word “boredom.” What if these two things are combined at KFC–yes, I’m talking about Kentucky Fried Chicken fastfood here–what if? The result is, well, I don’t know. It depends upon a person. You may like or yuck it. You may not appreciate it. Or You may say “wow.” If you don’t get what I mean, the images down there will explain it. [may kasunod pa po...]

The Call of A Call Center Agent

by enad on September 22, 2009

I am call center agent. I earn bigger than an average Filipino worker–actually much bigger–not to mention the monthly regular benefits and quarterly bonus I receive. My workplace is airconditioned. I’m equipped with modern tools needed. I always have access to the internet. And all I have to do is to sit and take calls.  That’s all. Good, isn’t it? Or so it is. There are things that people don’t know about my job. My mom’s job. My cousin’s. My officemates.’ Ours. And if you want to know, the following privilege speech delivered last August 17 by Rep. Raymond “Mong” Palatino of the Kabataan Party list will somehow give you an idea: [may kasunod pa po...]

by enad on September 22, 2009

Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is a great boxing fighter. Miguel Cotto also is. But whoever of these two boxers is the greater one, that’s something everyone is yet to find out. Forty-one days from now, the world will again temporarily stop as the people watch these two boxers release punches for a title fight. Pound for pound champion Manny Pacquiao will take on welterweight powerhouse Miguel Cotto. The bout will be held on November 14, 2009 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada where Mayweather and Marquez also had theirs. So mark your calendar for that day folks. [may kasunod pa po...]

Google Doodle H.G. Wells

by enad on September 21, 2009

On September 5th just this year, Google made people wonder what its doodle that day was all about. When clicked, the doodle  directs you to a search result page for the keyword “unexplained phenomenon.” The big G did not expose the reason behind the mysterious doodle. Everyone was supposing that it was providing  a hint through a tweet on the company’s twitter account.  The message in its entirety says “1.12.12 25.15.21.18 15 1.18.5 2.5.12.15.14.7 20.15 21.19″ which is still mysterious. Mayweather vs Marquez complete fight video

by enad on September 20, 2009

Many of us were are able to watch live how Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Juan Manual Marquez and emerged as the “number one.”  Well, many of us. But not all. For the benefit of those who were not able to see the highly anticipated bout between the two boxers because either the livestream from the other sites didn’t work or your cable provider couldn’t or wouldn’t afford to provide you with the live telecast, I decided to embed the video of their fight on this page. Call it whatever you want–”Mayweather vs Marquez play by play,” “Mayweather vs Marquez fight replay,” or “Mayweather vs Marquez complete fight video–they’re all here. And just down there. To Kill An American

by enad on September 20, 2009

Anyone who hates an American will surely like this post’s title: To Kill An American. Unfortunately, I’m not here to tell you how to do so. Just imagine what the world would be without these folks–that means no Hollywood, no Megan Fox and hundred thousands of my fellow countrymen will lose their jobs and you may also lose yours. What if the title of this post was “To Kill a your-particular-race,” would you like that? Killing a human being is something extremely morbid. [may kasunod pa po...]

Floyd Mayweather is still the “Number One”

by enad on September 20, 2009

Too bad. I wasn’t able to watch the Mayweather-Marquez Number One/Numero Uno fight. Blame it on HBO for requesting the livestream to be blocked from freedocast. LOL. Maybe, that’s what you really get if you try to watch something for free when you should pay for it. Interruption. And dismay.

Going back to the bout, most people, if not everyone, was wishing for Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s loss so he would somehow lose his arrogance. But it didn’t turn out like the way [may kasunod pa po...]
