aztig ang noypi

And you have just stumbled upon a humble blog about Juan Dela Cruz, his fellow Noypis and the country called Pinas...And its neighborhood.

Racism against the Filipinos has long been an issue. We’ve been the subject of many insults.  Although many have already come out to depend our race, there are still lunatic souls who do the otherwise. Here are some of those “insulting events”:

  • The writers of the show “Desperate Housewives” insulted Filipino doctors who are working in the US. In the episode titled “Now You Know” the character named Susan questioned the credibility of a gynecologist saying, “Okay, before we go any further, can I check those diplomas? Cause I would just like to make sure that they’re not from some med school in the Philippines.”
  • Former and late President Cory Aquino was branded a “slut” [may kasunod pa po...]

This video was the talk-of-the-web the other day or the day before that. I don’t really remember. The dancer involved in it was said to have a vagina slip–her private part was captured in front of the camera–the related show was actually on air that time.

I watched the video at gawker (it was aired by Fox, users uploaded it to YouTube but has been removed from there) but there really is nothing drooling about it. It turned out to be a mock scandal good for ratings. Reportedly, the ratings went up by about two million viewers for the show that aired the day after the news broke.  The dancer was actually wearing flesh-colored briefs under her dress. But if you don’t believe me, then just ready your eyes. The video is just down there. [may kasunod pa po...]

Pound for pound boxing champ Manny Pacquiao used to be the favorite subject for big personality photoshop editing. He used to be. But because the May 2010 Philippine general election is fast approaching, this time, it is our 2010 presidentiables‘ turn. I got the these funny pictures from my mom’s blog. I searched the web for the original source and found it posted on Gerald Magno’s facebook account. [may kasunod pa po...]

Francis Magalona HAD ANOTEHR FAMILY?

by enad on October 4, 2009

Francis Magalona looked too young at 44 until he died of leukemia. That was about seven months ago. He has already been resting in peace. Or so he has.

The information below has been in my inbox since May.  When I first opened this email my officemate sent me, I was shocked to find out what was inside. The story: Francis Magalona had another family. [may kasunod pa po...]

This small girl with huge voice of 10 decibel will be having a live concert on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 6 pm PST (or 9 am Sunday, Philippine Time). As far as I know Charice’s concert will really be available for online viewing LIVE. That means that anybody who has access to the internet can watch the concert as it happens. ONDOY in PICTURES

by enad on October 2, 2009

As a call center agent, I always wished that it would rain so I would have sound sleep. You know how conducive to sleeping cold weather is. But after typhoon Ketsana/Ondoy came, just to think of the marks it left,  I don’t anymore know whether I should still wish for a rainy afternoon. If you don’t get me, the pictures down there of Ondoy-effect will explain everything: [may kasunod pa po...]

Mikey Arroyo and his Facebook controversy

by enad on October 2, 2009

Mikey Arroyo and his Facebook controversyAnd so the title of the particular post I mad e that day was wrong. I’m talking about the Facebook controversy that (not Jacqueline Bermejo but) Mikey Arroyo, PGMA’s son, has been involved in. Mikey was allegedly seen at Rustan’s liquor section asking for a brand of a hard alcoholic drink just a few kilometers away from Katipunan where people were needing help for search and rescue. In the email I receive, the photo was captioned as:

“Was buying food for keeps… then we saw Mikey Arroyo in Rustan’s Liquor Section asking the salesman for a brand of hard alcoholic drink. Effin Crazy! Just a few kilometers away from Katipunan, people are needing help for search and rescue, and there he was buying bottles of alcohol. See for yourself and tell me what you think.” [may kasunod pa po...]

The truth is slowly prevailing. And it seems like everyone will be eating his/her own dust for condemning the poor Jacqueline Bermejo about the controversial shoutout she allegedly made on Facebook. That doesn’t include me because I didn’t condemn her–oh well, I just accused her–I’ll still be eating my own dust then :( .

Jacque’s supporters are just sprouting anywhere in the cyberspace which include a Facebook fanclub that by the time I checked on already had 6,430 members. Blog posts are also being made which are gradually leading to her innocence. [may kasunod pa po...]
