Hey Google, WHERE’S MY ADSENSE PIN?

by enad on October 18, 2009

I’ve noticed that for the past few days my Adsense widgets are just showing up public service ads. It happened before but eventually all the ads went back to normal. This time though, it still stays that way. If yours are also showing the same kind of ads then we may have the same situation.

After checking on my Adsense account today, I realized that I haven’t verified my PIN yet that was sent to me by Google. Unfortunately, it  was sent to my home address which has already changed…you know, name of places change. I requested for the PIN to be sent to my current address. The bad thing is that it may take three to six weeks before it gets delivered. That means that I will have to continue showing charitable ads in this blogs until I’m already able to verify the PIN. Meanwhile, I have to depend on my Infolinks and Chitika account.

It’s okay, I’m not receiving that much traffic anyway. I’m not a Google Trends blogger. Although I’m aiming to get massive traffic, my primary goal is readership not just “visitorship.” I want my readers to interact with other readers and with me through comments. Which is more fulfilling.

And I know. I might, in a twist of fate, surprisingly get more visits and I won’t be earning from those. I’ll just look into the bright side; there are people (in the picture on the left) who are in dire needs and I’ll be like doing charitable deeds with those public service ads. That’s another more fulfilling thing. :)

  • Yes, I agree. Check the keywords of your posts. There are words called stop words that Google can detect for them no to show relevat ads. I've encountered it before such as fraud, steal, etc.
  • i didnt know those were called stop words. but i know that they exist. it's just that sometimes i test them. kung minsan wala lang talagang magawa sa buhay.
  • hi..good day..i started my blog just this august 9..
i have one question, the google didn’t send me the e-mail about google adsense pin, like "we've recently send you personal identification number blah". but when my balance reached the account of 20$ in the month of september, there is a required action like "enter your pin and please submit your tax information" in my adsense payment history.. so i request for an issue of that pin. and the e-mail plus the pin didn’t send to me again. i requested for the second time, but this time i changed the address to make sure google will reach me, but again, there is no email about google pin, they only mailed Payment Address Updated which says that i updated my address in Oct.14, right now i haven’t had my pin yet and it says that it only until nov.6 and after that i can request for my next issue.. my question is is it okei if i had not received any e-mail from google ? by the way,my balance is around 80$ right now without any pin sent. should i wait for 100$ before i get the pin?

Ito sa tingin ko lang ha? Another reason why your site is displaying public service ads is because of your site's overall theme.

You see, google is smart enough to analyze your website's contents. Gaya sa akin, about sports karamihan ng posts ko kaya ung mga ads eh puro about sports.

Pero if your site contains stop words, adult ones like s*x, n*de, f*ck, etc., it is against Google's TOS so they will display public service ads instead of their advertisers.

Suggestion ko, sa mga scandal posts mo, don't use those adult words. Try to use asterisks para di halata.
